Order, Payment and Delivery Terms

Delivery

We have a 12 ton lorry capable of delivering up to 1.25 ton of fish split between 8 compartments in 4 tanks for fish welfare.

Very often smaller multiple orders are transported by the lorry, so it is important that we know what the vehicular access is like at individual fisheries for driver welfare and your safety.

We also have a land rover and trailer capable of carrying a total of 1000 lbs in weight or smaller individual orders adding up to this weight.

Delivery Charges

The delivery price is calculated on acceptance of your order but is 6% of your order value (regular customers)(£50.00 MINIMUM) or POA and if requested at the time of booking is zero-rated for VAT, see below.

There is no VAT on trout sales, only on delivery charges where delivery was not requested at the time of ordering fish. If delivery forms part of the original fish contract then the VAT for delivery is zero-rated.

Customers must ensure that adequate labour is available to help offload the fish (subject to Covid-19 regulations around social distancing) and will be discussed with you before delivery.

Where possible we can combine several deliveries on one route. When this is the case, delivery costs are divided between the individual orders resulting in considerable savings to each customer.

Your Responsibility for Stocking Fish

The law requires that a permit is obtained prior to any stocking.
